Activities and Programs

We are an active fellowship with numerous activities and programs for all ages.

Monthly Potluck Dinners: are held (usually) on the 4th Friday of the month, often at a member's home. Check the calendar for dates. If you need directions, contact mcuuf1@gmail.com.

The Spiritual Practice Group: meets twice a week, Mondays & Thursdays, 1:00–3:00pm at a member's home. The focus of this group is on the Psychological Commentaries on the Teachings of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky by Maurice Nicoll, Vol. 1-5; Search for the Miraculous and the Fourth Way by P.D. Ouspensky. Among many other topics we work on self observation, transformation of negative emotions, Karma Yoga, Vanity and Pride, transformation of impressions, the four bodies of man, law of three (positive, negative, neutralizing), external and internal considering, on being, prayer, knowledge, opposites. The Women's Group meets once a month at the home of one of our members. We usually meet on the third Monday of the month from 6-8 pm (but check the calendar for details). This is a chance for us to catch up with each other's lives, share stories, get to know one another better, and share discussion on a pre-selected topic. If you would like, you are invited to bring a snack or hor's d'oeuvre to share, and wine if you drink it. Coffee & tea are provided. (But please don't stress about having to bring something ... there's always plenty of snacks ... and it's your good company and conversation that we most look forward to). Readers Theater: We are just getting started with our Readers Theater program and welcome all who have an interest in working with this program. We work in coordination with the Sunday Services Team and produce at least one to two programs per year. One program is usually adult oriented and the other is intergenerational (all ages).
