Our Sunday service are a time for gathering together to celebrate community and the mystery and wonders of life as well as to be inspired and challenged toward growth and living our convictions. Music, readings, sharing of joy and sorrows, sermons and fellowship all contribute to the Sunday experience.

  • Childcare is available during the service for children younger than kindergarten.
  • Religious Education for children aged 4-12 takes place during the service. There’s also programming for teenagers 2-3 Sundays a month. Please check in at the welcome table or contact us in advance if you would like your children to participate.
  • There is a fellowship social time immediately after the service. Please stay and join us, meet our speaker and enjoy beverages and conversation.

Our Sunday Services are planned with the goal of creating an island of peace and reflection. All ages meet together initially, then our children and youth depart for Religious Education and Faith Development classes and child care.

Recognizing and honoring that we have come from different faith traditions the Sunday Services Team endeavors to plan services that:

  • Are welcoming to all
  • That invokes the sacred (through verse, music and silence).
  • Offer a platform for sharing of ideas and experiences of what is sacred, mystery and wonder.
  • Create a space that is safe for those who are searching for peace and acceptance.
  • Invoke diversity and provide space for us all to experience transformation, change and growth.

Our services are coordinated by volunteers who serve on our Sunday Services Team. They recruit our Sunday speakers, organize the services and often serve as celebrants for the services. The Team meets every two months to plan and organize services. They also hold an annual meeting to plan the overall themes and objectives for the service year. Friends and Members of the Fellowship are always invited to submit ideas for speakers or themes for Sunday services.

Our speakers for Sunday services come from a variety of sources.

  • The UUA Pacific Northwest District visiting ministers program
  • Ministers from other religious affiliations
  • Community or Regional leadership
  • Members or Friends within our own congregation

If you would like information on speaking to our Fellowship or recommending a speaker please contact us at mcuuf1@gmail.com.

From time to time, we post sermons from our services. Check out our archival sermons to listen to some of our programs and member contributions.
